Torchwood is a BBC spin-off Television program of Doctor Who and was created by Russel T. Davies starring John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper. Torchwood is an undercover association outside of the Government and beyond the United Nations, the team; Toshiko Sato, Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper, Owen Harper and Ianto Jones deal with aliens and devices that come through a 'rift' that Cardiff is built apon. Torchwood is one of 4 across Britain, this specific Branch of Torchwood is called Torchwood 3 and is located in Cardiff. Initially the show was meant to be a 13-part series as a spin off of Doctor Who of which this show is closely interlinked.
