Rose Tyler first met The Ninth Doctor in the shop she worked in, Henriks at the age of 19. The mysterious plastic autons attacked the shop so the Doctor rescued her, and through her first episode they meet up again. The doctor asked her if she wanted to join him, and at first she said no, because of her mom, and Mickey, but when the doctor returns and tells her he can travel through time, she decides to go. She then went on to have many more adventures with this doctor, and the Tenth Doctor before being placed in a Parallel World. She later returned in series 4 but was taken back to the parallel world again this time with the Human Doctor, Donna accidentally created.
She is the most well known out of the Doctor companions in the newest series of Doctor Who, and has done the most series as the doctors companion.
